Florence's iconic bridge with goldsmith shops is jammed 10 AM–6 PM. Visit at 7 AM or 10 PM for atmosphere and photos.
The shops have been on the bridge since 1593 — originally butchers, replaced by goldsmiths by Cosimo I de' Medici.
Walk up to Piazzale Michelangelo (across the river, then climb) for the postcard view of the bridge and city.
