Phone calls on trains are taboo. Texting and reading are fine. Music must be inaudible to others.
Designated 'priority seats' near doors require phones to be on silent mode entirely (no vibration).
If you must take a call, get off at the next station, take it on the platform, then board again. Or step to the gangway between cars.
