Never stand chopsticks upright in rice (funeral imagery), don't pass food chopstick-to-chopstick, and don't point with them.
Place chopsticks horizontally on the rest provided. If none exists, rest them across the top of your bowl or on a napkin.
When sharing dishes, flip your chopsticks and use the clean back end to take communal food, or use the provided serving utensils.
