The Golden Pavilion is best seen first thing in the morning, before sun glare. The walk-through is short (30 min) and one-way only.
The reflection in the pond is the iconic shot. Stand to the right of the entry path for the postcard angle.
Gold tickets are paper amulets that double as souvenirs. The temple grounds have a small tea ceremony pavilion ($5).
