Try a 'menu' for set-price lunch

Most bistros offer a 'menu du jour' for 18–30 euros: starter + main, or main + dessert. Better value than à la carte.

Look for chalkboards out front. Daily specials are usually the chef's favorite of the day.

'Formule' is similar but usually simpler (sandwich + drink + dessert for 12–18 euros).
