Fushimi (south Kyoto) is a sake-brewing district. Gekkeikan Okura Memorial Hall has tastings, history, and the brewery.
Free or 600-yen entry depending on tour. The water from Fushimi's springs is what makes Kyoto sake distinctive.
Kizakura, Tamano-Hikari, and Tomio are other Fushimi breweries with tasting rooms.
